What is Nutrition Therapy?
Nutrition Therapy uses diet and lifestyle changes to achieve 'optimum nutrition'. Almost any condition has been found to improve with correct nutrition. This includes Fatigue, Digestive problems, Candida, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, PMS, Arthritis, Skin conditions, Cardiovascular conditions, Food Intolerances, Female Problems, Hormonal Imbalances, Migraines, Depression, Anxiety, Infertility, Low Immunity, Stress and Weight problems.
Nutrition Therapy offers an in-depth analysis of your current health problems and risks by giving you time to discuss your concerns, taking a detailed health history and by using state of the art laboratory testing.
Your Nutrition Therapist may also use supplements to correct imbalances or to give general support for specific health problems.
But can't I get all the nutrients I need from my diet?
A balanced diet can still leave you deficient, depending on your body's specific needs, which can change according to your age, genetic make-up, if you suffer from stress, smoke, are pregnant or menopausal. Government studies show that nutrient deficiency is common, which means we are not getting the nutrients we need from our food.
The body has an amazing capacity to heal itself if it is given the opportunity to do so. Each person has his/her specific needs, which may change according to your life circumstances and your genetic makeup. Nutrition therapy aims at uncovering these specific needs and to give the body the nutrients it needs to restore health. Each nutrition program is tailored to the client to correct your specific imbalances and to promote healing.
